Too many people worldwide live with brain diseases – complex and often not-visible conditions that take a tremendous toll on individuals, families, and societies.
The Lundbeck US Charitable Fund was established to support charitable organizations who are dedicated to brain health, whether their missions are supporting patients, caregivers, and families affected by these diseases from building community support systems to improving disease education and care, or advancing innovation and new models to support a brighter future.
In 2023, the Fund undertook an initiative to evaluate and pursue high-impact charitable donations to meaningfully advance brain health in the United States. From this emerged several key areas of focus and a directive to provide momentum-generating funding to leading voices in each area.
We are humbled by the efforts of each of the organizations we support and are inspired by so many new and emerging opportunities to advance incredible causes in these communities over the coming years.
Looking ahead, we aspire to reach more at-risk populations and equip more community organizations with the resources and support to fill persistent gaps in care and relieve the burden of brain disorders. Our ambition is to tackle some areas of significant impact for our society, including mental health disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and rare neurological conditions, to address stigma and societal barriers.
Together with community leaders, researchers, clinicians, advocates, and the families affected by these conditions, we will make much needed progress in advancing brain health and transforming lives – one person at a time.
