Description

Lundbeck Australia currently has a maternity leave contract role available for a Finance Manager to join our team, reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations and responsible for two direct reports.   As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for all local statutory reporting and also providing accurate financial support and commercial advice to the Director, Finance and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for finance function, including direct reports and maintaining a high level of compliance.  Accountable for the non-promotion business aspects of the established and future product launches;
  • In consultation, direct the general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results;
  • Development of short and long term financial policies, objectives and plans and oversees the implementation of these;
  • Lead the annual statutory and local TAX returns;
  • Securing all financial reporting and liabilities are in alignment with compliance;
  • Conduct annual audits of expenses and promotional cost to ensure full compliance;
  • Ownership of contracts;
  • Review and analyses all operating results;
  • Prepares schedules for financial reporting;
  • Finance and commercial modelling to maximize returns from established products;
  • Selection and training of employees.

Skills and Experience
We are ideally looking for a Finance Manager with prior experience leading a finance function with around $50m turnover business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working closely with management and business functions to support and meet their needs.  The candidate will have the credibility and confidence to communicate with and develop strong relationships with colleagues, customers and key internal and external stakeholders.

Strong experience working with SAP and BI as well concur is an advantage to succeed in the position.

Educational background

  • Solid and relevant academic background, e.g. a master’s degree in finance or similar

Ideal experience

  • The candidate has most likely worked with accounting, FP&A as well controlling in an affiliate reporting to a larger internationally operating company
  • Experience from pharmaceuticals prefered
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience working with or for audit companies
  • Experience working with external reporting and IFRS
