Per Wold-Olsen, MBA, was CEO of MSD Norway from 1976-1986 and his area of responsibility was extended to include the entire MSD Scandinavia in 1986-1990. In 1991, Per Wold-Olsen was appointed Senior Vice President of Worldwide Human Health Marketing of Merck & Co., Inc. in the USA, and in 1997 he was appointed President of Human Health Europe in Merck & Co., Inc. in the USA. In 1997, in addition to the appointment to Human Health Europe, he also became responsible for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as Worldwide Human Health Marketing.  In 2005, his area of responsibility was extended to include Latin America and Canada as President of Human Health Intercontinental Region, Merck & Co., Inc.
From 1994 to 2006, Per Wold-Olsen was a member of Merck’s Management Committee.

He is chairman of the Gilead Global Advisory board, and deputy chairman of the board of Glyconics. He is a member of PharmaNet and since 2006 he has been a member of BankInvest Biomedical Venture Advisory board.

Thorleif Krarup is Deputy Chairman of the board of H. Lundbeck A/S, LFI a/s and ALK-Abelló A/S.

He is chairman of the board of Exiqon A/S and Sport One Denmark A/S. He is Member of the board of Bang & Olufsen A/S, Brightpoint, Inc., Group 4 Securicor plc and The Lundbeck Foundation.

Thorleif Krarup started his career at the Regional Bank's Secretariat 1974-79 and continued as Group Treasurer and Chief Accountant with Bang & Olufsen 1979-85, Managing Director Nykredit's Head Office 1985-87, Chairman of the Management board of Nykredit 1987-91, Group Chief Executive Tryg Nykredit Holding 1991-92, Group Chief Executive Unidanmark and Chairman of the Executive Board Unibank 1992 - 2000, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Nordic Baltic Holding (Nordea) 2000, Group Chief Executive Officer Nordea 2001.

His latest job within the financial sector was as Senior Vice President business development international banks and large Nordic customers 2002 - 2004.

Peter Kürstein is chairman of the board of Foss A/S and member of the board of H. Lundbeck A/S and Radiometer Medical ApS.

Peter Kürstein was previously a Market Research Analyst at Pfizer Inc. in New York from 1981 to 1982, and Product Manager and later Marketing Manager at Shiley, Inc. in California 1982 to 1985. He has served as General Manager at Radiometer Medical A/S from 1985 to 1988 and President from 1989. Peter Kürstein received a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Harvard Business School in 1981.

Mats Pettersson is a board member of H. Lundbeck A/S and deputy chairman of the board of SwedenBio AB. He is member of the board of Ablynx NV and to -BBB Holding B.V.

Mats Pettersson joined Pharmacia in 1976, where he held the position of CFO and different business development positions. Before joining Biovitrum, he was Senior Vice President and member of the Management Committee of Pharmacia Corporation. Mats has been responsible for most of the major transforming mergers in Pharmacia over the last ten years and has spent more than 16 years abroad during his career. Mats Petterson holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration.

Jes Østergaard is member of the board of H. Lundbeck A/S , LFI a/a, the Lundbeck Foundation, aCROnordic A/S, Aresa A/S, ilochip A/S and Scion-DTU a/s.

Jes Østergaard worked 1973-75 at Grindstedværket A/S after which he joined Novo Industri A/S as Project Manager in R&D. From 1982-89 Jes Østergaard was Director in Novo A/S where he held various positions. From 1989-92 Jes Østergaard held a position as Vice President for Sales & Marketing, Novo Nordisk A/S in the Biochemicals Division. In 1992 he became President of that division. As Corporate Vice President, Novo Nordisk A/S, Jes Østergaard was responsible for corporate development, including mergers & acquisitions and strategic development, from 1995-97.

Jes Østergaard served two years as Managing Director for Medicon Valley Academy, before he was appointed President and CEO for DakoCytomat,ion A/S at that time known as DAKO A/S. DakoCytomation is the market leader in tissue based cancer diagnostics. Jes Østergaard received a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in 1972.

Egil Bodd, MD & PhD, founder (2006) and presently managing partner of Lindsay Goldberg Nordic, an associated company of Lindsay Goldberg LLC.

From 2004 - 2006, Egil Bodd was the CEO of Pronova Biocare - a successful acquisition from Norsk Hydro. In the period 1992 - 2003 he worked for Merck & Co., Inc. as Managing Director and later Vice President, Europe Middle East & Africa. From 1986 - 1992, he was a president with Medinnova. Over the years, he has held a number of directorships with public limited companies, including Norwegian investment company Norsk Vekst ASA and the Danish biotech company Medicult.

Jørn Mayntzhusen

Jørn Mayntzhusen has been with Lundbeck since 2002 as Department Head for Customer Centre Supply being responsible for global forecasting, warehousing and shipping at Lundbeck.

Originally educated as a banker in 1988 he has obtained a BSc in Logistics (HD(L)) at Copenhagen Business School in 1995 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School in 2002.

Jørn Mayntzhusen started working with Handelsbanken 1986-1990 followed by 2 years at Thule Air Base with Greenland Contractors 1990-1992. In 1992 he started studying for his BSc and was employed as Logistic Assistant with Braun Nordic 1993-1997.  For the next 2 years Jørn Mayntzhusen worked as Business Management Advisor with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke in Zimbabwe. Prior to working for Lundbeck Jørn  was Nordic Logistic Manager with Moulinex Krups 1999-2002.

Kim Rosenville Christensen is a Synthesis Operator and has been with Lundbeck since 1993. Prior to joining Lundbeck Kim Rosenville Christensen served in the Danish Armed Forces from 1976 to 1993. He has obtained a degree as a plant operator. Kim Rosenville Christensen has acted as shop steward for the employees at the F1 plant in Lumsås since 1999 and senior shop steward covering the Danish Trades Union Congress area since 2004.
